Lulu Meets Greece

Majority of my time in Greece was spent in Santorini, the famous Greek island characterized by immaculate white buildings topped withย domes in the most pure blue to match the surrounding waters. It was an island full of firsts. We stayed in a grand villa, complete with a pool where Collin, the birthday boy, showed me how to backflip for the next time we went cliff diving at the Red Beach.

We found that the best way to get around was on ATVs (even though technically we weren’t allowed to rent anything with a motor). It was my first time on a quad and I can’t imagine having it experienced it with anyone other than Moon, Sophie, Connor, Collin, Alex, and Paul. We ended up calling ourselves the QUAD SQUAAAD. As we whizzed around the island, I caught my Business and Global Issues professor’s eye and it was the first time in the entire voyage that I regretted my bright turquoise hair!

By the end of my time in Santorini, I couldn’t wait to get off the island. I was feeling homesick for the World Odyssey. This moment was the first time I had come to know the ship as “home” – it was a very bizarre feeling, to be so attached to a home that didn’t stay in one place. It occurred to me that the life I’m living nowย can be my life forever. I don’t necessarily have to settle in one place.

We will be in Spain in 5 days! I can’t wait to share my experiences with you!
