We normally associate the word “routine” with boredom, ennui, and a lack of enthusiasm. But the #TheRoutineProject is anything but! In fact, Shirrin Design Co.‘s latest collection of luxury party wear features an eclectic mix of textures, cultural influences, and a colour palette suitable from dawn to dusk and beyond. I had the privilege of attending the collection launch at the Taj Land’s End for a preview!

Anything But Boring
Look #1: Lovely Lavender
In my (humble) opinion, velvet is appropriate for any occasion. Besides, it makes a cute girl that much cuter since now she basically resembles a cuddly teddy bear, haha! Shirrin Design Co. works with artists to create the intricate designs seen on the slip dress above. Side note: How majestic is this gemstone cuff?!
Look #2: Sleeves for Days
Just because I’m in India, doesn’t mean I need to limit my wardrobe choices to Indian wear. This suit jacket was created using Japanese influences, including the extra-long sleeves and the koi fish applique! It’s a piece that can make anyone feel like royalty 👑
Look #3: Glitter & Gold
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: Whoever said “All that glitters is not gold” clearly hasn’t met me! This gold sequin dress is actually a two-piece, so my long legged ladies can rock this ensemble as a crop top + skirt combo. For my fellow vertically challenged babes, simply tuck the top into the skirt and you’ll get the illusion of a full bodycon dress.
Look #4: Red Velvet
Rompers and playsuits are quintessential summer pieces every girl needs in her wardrobe, but people rarely think about wearing them all year round. When you have one in red velvet, you can wear them during the colder months when paired with sexy thigh highs or stockings with your go-to ankle bootie. If you have a love/hate relationship with rompers like I do (it’s so hard to go to the bathroom!!!), fear not! Just add a statement studded belt and all of a sudden, it makes your trip to the powder room 100% more bearable, I promise.
