If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I’ve been shooting a lot more lately. And by a lot more, I mean back to back to back bookings. Part of the reason is because I simply want to get better at modelling and I genuinely look forward to every shoot. I love playing dress up and being ~*extra*~ in front of the camera, but more than anything, I like the idea of seeing how my poses have progressed from my early shoots compared to the shoots I’m doing now. There’s always room for improvement!
A HUGE reason why I’ve been shooting a lot is because I’m making more of an effort to showcase Filipino designers in Calgary. You can read more about WHY in my Insta post below:

Bringing Filipina island girl style 🌴 to the Canadian Rockies 🏔 I’m so excited to be shooting for esteemed designers like @audreyalbason from the Philippines! You can expect super sweet numbers featuring coral and seashell details on my feed from now on 🐚 Travelling to the motherland after almost TWO DECADES and getting back in touch with my roots has fostered a deeper appreciation for the creativity of my people. The Filipino fashion community creates so much beauty in the motherland, and it’s about time the Filipino diaspora showcases it to the WORLD 🌎 Stay tuned for more photos of this stunning collection! And I’ll tell you guys a secret: I’ve always struggled with taking OOTD photos or blogging about fashion in general mainly because I didn’t think I was offering anything different enough to be interesting – at least in the online world. I didn’t really care about the streetwear hype and to be honest, seeing the same brands over and over again on Instagram was starting to bore me.
But after realizing that there is a serious lack of promotion for Filipino designers, I’m making it my mission to be the go-to source for Filipino fashion for the diaspora. Even a first-generation kid like me can feel so disconnected from our culture and our roots! As a blogger and fashion lover, promoting Filipino designers and their creative works is the best way I know how to support my people.
That being said, I have the pleasure of introducing …

Who else is super in love with the coral details on this woven clutch and statement earrings? 🙋🏽♀️ Nothing screams “Island Girl” quite like accessories inspired by Philippine marine life.
I love closing my eyes or looking down in photos simply because you can see my eyeshadows and lashes better hehehe. I know it’s such a minor detail but when you take extra time to blend and give your eyes that POP, you want photos to commemorate the effort haha! In a collection as stunning as this one, you’ll want your makeup to match the extravagance it.
The best part about this photo is that our stylist on set was actually flipping the tail of this gown up and down to create the movement or “wave-like” effect 😂 Let’s talk about the fact that this blush nude dress is going to flatter anyone’s skin tone. Mestizas, morenas, and tsinitas rejoice! The mesh in the chest area gives it a sexy vibe, without being too overbearing.
Don’t forget you can shop this look here!
In LOVE with these sky high bedazzled platforms, by the way. My tita got them for me as a gift while I was travelling in the Philippines 🙂 The nude tone pairs perfectly with the gown!
Can’t wait to show you more pieces from this collection!
