Pucker up! Gone are the days that Japanese beauty influencers ignored our luscious lips! As I flipped through various fashion and beauty magazines during my time in Tokyo, I noticed that Japanese women nowadays are rocking a bolder, more colourful lip look. It seems that there is less focus on peepers loaded with criss cross false lashes and heavy eyeliner, and more focus on vibrant peckers.
If you love enhancing your eyes like me, there’s no need to worry about the shift in focus! Women are also lining their lower lash lines with the same crimson hue to compliment the lip stain.

Step 1: Apply Ginkgo Lip Area Patch to prepare your lips for a vibrant stain.
These individually packaged lip masks contain Gingko Leaf extracts to rejuvenate and brighten the skin around the lip area. If you have discolouration or darkness around your lip area, this mask is perfect for you!
Step 2: Using the doe foot applicator, apply Dear Darling Tint on your lips and blend with your fingertips.
For this look, I’m using the colour Real Red, but the tint is also available in Berry, Orange, and Vampire Red on the Etude House website. The tint is long-lasting and has a lightweight feel, making it super comfortable to wear.
I also applied the tint along my lower lash line then layered it with a red eyeshadow powder to emulate the Japanese models I’ve seen on Larme Magazine.
This sweet lippie would look amazing with the Glitter Tear Drop Liner trend I wrote about here!
