The more seriously I take this whole blogging thing, the more I find myself shamelessly sharing my thoughts on today’s current social trends. One of these trends includes the rise of made to order clothing. When it comes to Indian fashion, Bombay is not too far behind in this particular movement, as exemplified by designers Gayathri and Meenakshi of Zephyrr.
It’s often said that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Majority of us would agree with this sentiment. This begs us to question why there are still fashion labels out there that don’t offer ensembles tailored to every woman’s unique measurements. Are we all expected to conform to moulds – international standard sizes? Unless you’re among the small percentage of women whose lengthy, leggy body type resembles that of billboard and print models (seemingly the only body types represented in the industry), it becomes difficult to shop for anything that accentuates your features the way you want.
Luckily, I was introduced to Zephyrr at a fashion exhibition in Santacruz this past weekend. It’s a brand that caters to every woman’s edges and curves. Zephyrr is based in Bombay, and services clients in all of India. I instantly fell in love with the jewel-toned number pictured above, since it hangs just perfectly over my petite frame.
This classic silk dress, accentuated with bow details on the neckline, is the quintessential dinner date number! Lace up wedges were its match made in heaven, and a gold-studded clutch the signature accessory.
What does your perfect #OOTN look like? Where is your favourite dinner spot in your city?
